What is the IMBS Academic Excellence Track?
The IMBS Academic Excellence Track provides an opportunity for the Internet Marketing undergraduate students at the top of their class to showcase their talents and improve as ethical professionals.
This option provides exemplar students the opportunity to be recognized for their excellence while exploring and adhering to ethical standards and providing service to the Internet Marketing industry by volunteering as a mentor or consultant.

How do I become a member?
1) Review the Interactive Advertising Bureau self-regulatory program prior to submitting your application.
2) Submit Application for Membership form with your qualifications for membership.
3) Submit an email with photo, current overall Full Sail GPA, and bio (50 words maximum).

IMBS students who choose this option to enhance their degree experience will receive several benefits related to their participation in this initiative.
Build Your Resume
Academic Excellence Track Graduates will have an item on their resume that will help them stand out from the crowd. Employers often look for exceptional candidates who choose to excel with their undergraduate education and the Academic Excellence Track serves as a testament to exemplar performance in three categories: ethics, service and academics.
Earn GPS Points
2) Academic Excellence Track members will have 10 GPS points added to their “Global GPS” scores.
Real-World Experience
3) Academic Excellence Track members will gain real-world experience by volunteering as an Internet marketing consultant and do something positive in the process.
Receive Certificate
4) Students who graduate in good standing and fulfill the requirements will receive a certificate of completion for the IMBS Academic Excellence Track.
WHAT ARE THE ADMITTANCE CRITERIA
FOR THE IMBS ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE TRACK?
Admittance Criteria #1
Those admitted to the IMBS Academic Excellence Track must be students in good-standing with Full Sail University and be enrolled in the IMBS program.
Admittance Criteria #2
Students admitted to the IMBS Academic Excellence Track must have completed the first 16 months of their 32 month course of study.
Admittance Criteria #3
Students applying to the IMBS Academic Excellence Track are required to have a minimum 3.7 overall GPA for admittance (by month 17).
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE TRACK MEMBERS?
Student will research and agree to adhere to the standards outlined in the IAB Member Self Regulatory Program. This ethical code defines best practices in the Internet Marketing industry. IMBS candidates for membership in the Academic Excellence Track will agree to adhere to ethical best practices of our industry based on standards set forth by the IAB.
Student will volunteer 16 hours as an Internet Marketing Consultant for a non-profit corporation of their own choosing. The corporation will need to be approved as an appropriate choice for this initiative. Next, students will make recommendations for improving at least one component of the company’s Internet Marketing tactics.
Deliverable A: Service Project Reflection Paper & Research Paper Abstract to be submitted during month 24.
Deliverable B: Academic Excellence Track Research Paper based on abstract to be submitted during month 29.
Students must also be sure to maintain their minimum 3.7 GPA until graduation. Students who fail to do so will not be able to successfully complete the IMBS Academic Excellence Track.
